My “Storm” Living with MS DIAGNOSIS OF MS MRI ACCEPTANCE OF DESEASE BEING IN THE HOSPITAL
Yesterday, we got her latest MRI results. She has 3 new lesions on her brain. The largest being half dollar size. If ye saw her Saturday night at the monthly gathering, you knew she could hardly walk, control her grip or say her words right. {Thank goodness most of our friends drink, so this does seem normal!} She is exacerbating, and the 3 new lesions are no help. That is the pain & health side. But here are some peripherals: *Insurance will not cover the drugs they want to put her on. *She is losing her T-Cell grant, because obviously she is too far gone for the study to be a factor. We will now pay out of pocket for all her meds. *I have been on the phone all morning talking to the VA, Govt. assistance and other programs. Not much help there, if any at all. *She is going to be even further out of the loop, something she hates, because her pain is high. *She believes she is a burden or strain on us/me, and I don’t seem to be able to convince her otherwise. Sick or not, she is my life, as most of ye are aware. Who would TMI be without Calypso? Not a pretty picture, eh?
